EVENT DETAILS
Working in a Post-COVID World
4th August at 12 pm (via Zoom)
Are you curious to know about the workplace practices that have emerged due to COVID, or how can one form new collaborations or score a job offer during these times? This event will bring together a diverse panel of experts from both the industry and academia to cover 3 key topics: (1) lessons from the pandemic, (2) collaborations and (3) employment in a post-COVID world. The objective of the event is to:
- Identify strategies that have emerged from the challenges of COVID. This will highlight the good practices that have boosted team performance and are here to stay
- Explore the challenges and strategies of establishing/sustaining collaborations in a post-COVID world.
- Spark conversations regarding job applications and hiring practices in a post-COVID world from both the employer and employee perspective.
Four experts from the materials community with diverse experience will share about how they navigated through COVID and highlight challenges, strategies and new practices that have emerged from the pandemic. Through an open discussion forum, we hope to facilitate conversations within the materials community to learn from one another. This event aims to impact the materials community and help guide early career researchers in a post-COVID world.
